I attended the Montana AIA state conference in Great Falls over the last few days and was able to take in some great sessions with passionate speakers on architectural design, practice, technology and in the process be inspired and get some continuing education credits.

Some of the impressive speakers included:
Jim Cutler from Cutler Anderson Architects
A roundtable of Montana architects speaking on their careers and experience as a member of the American Institute of Architects-Shannon Christensen, Chere LeClair and Randy Hafer who have all represented our state and profession so well
Dean Lewis from DCI who spoke on new Mass Timber opportunities in the use of nail laminated, cross laminated and other timber systems for building structures
Julie Eizenberg from Koning Eizenberg Architecture who spoke on their work doing multi-family housing
A learning unit seminar on professional liability insurance
Scott Erdy from Erdy McHenry on the topic of housing as social space in student housing and multi-family
Joseph Tanney from Resolution:4 Architecture on some impressive modular single family projects

Was great to reconnect with some colleagues and be inspired by this great conference!
